Account and data deletion
This page is for the Logic Mastermind app on Google Play, published by Mateusz Ciosek. There are two ways to close your account and delete its data.
In the app
- Open Logic Mastermind.
- Turn to the Colophon in the section strip.
- Under Your account, tap Close this account.
- Read the notice and confirm. It cannot be undone.
The deletion happens straight away; the phone needs to be online.
By email, if you cannot use the app
Write to mateusz.ciosek@hotmail.com with the subject "Delete my Logic Mastermind account", and include whatever you still have of:
- the Google account email you linked in the app, sent from that address if you can;
- your friend code (shown in the colophon);
- your byline, and roughly when you last played.
We delete the account within 30 days and write back when it is done. We may ask one question to make sure the account is yours. An account that was never linked to Google and whose friend code is lost cannot always be told apart from others; tell us what you can and we will do our best.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in, including a linked Google account's email held by Firebase.
- Your shelf: puzzle progress, statistics, honours, the hint desk's count and the record of a purchase.
- Your byline and friend code, your friends list, and you from other readers' friends lists.
- Your daily results, taken off the results pages, and your rating, taken off the ladder.
- Your seats at live tables and your listings in the lobby.
- On the phone, everything except its settings (when you close the account in the app).
- On request by email: the Analytics and crash-report data tied to your account.
What is kept
- Finished races and cup ties. Each one is also another reader's record, so the result and times stay, with your byline replaced by "a former reader". The random account number it was filed under stays with it and no longer belongs to any account.
- Analytics and crash reports, unless you ask by email: Google deletes them on its own after two months (Analytics) and 90 days (crash reports).
- Your purchase at Google Play. Google keeps its own record of the payment under its terms; we cannot delete that.
